Industrial Relations Consulting, Employment Equity, Human Rights and Privacy (management level)
Top responsibilities:
- Partners with clients (operational or support groups) to assess Industrial Relations needs and provide appropriate advice and intervention techniques
- Partners with HR Line OPS to provide solutions/advice to the business units
- Provides strategic guidance on all Industrial Relations needs and provides appropriate advice and intervention techniques
- Provides advice on the interpretation, application and administration of collective agreements, and Privacy and Human Rights concepts contained in the applicable legislation
- Analyzes, researches and prepares documentation related to grievances, arbitrations, Human Rights and Labour Relations Board cases
- Serves as management's representative to union officials for all matters concerning management decisions such as: disciplinary actions, promotions, demotions, transfers, terminations, lay-offs and salary adjustments
- Maintains a good relationship, as an official contact with the unions
- Provides flexible options to the clients in order to maintain Bell's competitiveness, while respecting the terms of our collective agreements
- Avoids long and costly litigations by favouring early settlement of issues, where appropriate

- To always serve customers with a clear understanding of the critical elements in successful partnering of operations and corporate needs
- To be able to break down complex problems into their component parts

Qualifications
Education
- University degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations/Business Administration or in a related area, or an equivalent education. Experience to be determined based on the position.

- Business acumen and HR knowledge
- Project management, change management and people development
- Consulting skills (Analysis, communication and team work/partnering)
Note: Most jobs require HR professional certification, in Ontario via the CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional), and in Quebec via ORHRI (Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agrées du Québec).
