- Leading, coaching and developing staff
- Encouraging and supporting the team to excel in key performance and process measures consistent with company, customer, corporate and governmental expectations
- Networking and establishing partnerships with internal and external groups
- Planning and organizing projects to deliver services and products effectively and meet the needs of customers and financial commitments
- Managing change and implementing/executing plans in accordance with business direction and strategy
Key objectives
- To support team in delivering exceptional results (customer/performance/finance/regulatory indicators)
- To manage, lead and develop talent among field force
- To cascade company strategy and direction via coordination and execution of business plans and initiatives
Main challenges
- Leading and managing change in an environment with new technology, new company direction, reorganization/movements, an aging workforce and a unionized CEP workforce
- Multitasking in a constantly changing environment, and ensuring that 'doing more with less' becomes the norm
Interaction
Technicians, customers, peers, senior managers and internal departments (e.g. Control Centre, Sales, etc.)
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma, preferably in Engineering/Business, and/or experience in Operations/Management.
- Basic knowledge of telephony/telecommunications or technical aptitude would be an asset.
